Megan + Dylan | Barn at Gibbet Hill | Groton, MA

Heart IconHow they met

Megan and Dylan met while working at North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly, MA. Megan recalls sitting in her new office on her first day when she first saw Dylan. She remembers saying to him, “I’m sorry! I didn’t catch your name again?” He responded “I’m Dylan!” and the rest was history!

The Engagement

Megan loves Christmas time, and every year shortly after Thanksgiving, Dylan and Megan would go pick out a Christmas tree. Last year, they decided they would cut one down themselves at Ingraham Christmas Tree Farm the Saturday after Thanksgiving. When they finally found the tree, Dylan got down to start sawing it while Megan took photos. He took his mask off and said “Can you come here for a second?” He said, “There are a million things I could say, but only one thing you want to hear- Will you marry me?” And of course, she said yes!

The Wedding Day

Megan and Dylan love all things rustic, farmhouse, wood, and industrial. They are a perfect mix of city and country.  When they first went to Gibbet Hill and toured the Barn, they knew immediately that is where they wanted to get married. They felt that the barn captured who they were as people- a little bit of old, a little bit of new. A little bit of rustic, a little bit of chic.

It was the perfect summer day for Megan and Dylan’s wedding. The two exchanged private vows during the “First Touch” and you could just feel their chemistry. My favorite thing about their wedding day was just watching them in the moments where they thought no one was watching; they would just hold hands or hug and it was so sweet. We were so honored to be a part of their special day.
