Heart IconHow they met

Meg and Matt both decided that they were done with meeting people in crowded bars hoping they would be the one. It was time to look for someone who was just as serious about taking that next step. As fate would have it, they both signed up for E-Harmony the same week and were both in each other’s first set of matches. After hitting it off so well, they decided to meet up, and the rest is history.

The Engagement

Matt knew how he wanted to propose to Meg on her favorite beach with “Will you Marry Me?” written in seashells. After asking Meg’s parents for permission to marry their daughter, he also enlisted their help in creating a special proposal for his soon-to-be finance’. Her mom and sister would lure her to The Cape for a “girls weekend” and leave Matt behind in New Hampshire. While she was getting a massage, Matt set everything up and waited. As Meg approached, Matt started playing a special song and stood up to surprise Meg. She didn’t know why he was there until he got down on one knee and held out the ring. Neither of them remembers if she actually said the word “yes” but she definitely put the ring on and we were finally engaged to be married!

The Wedding Day

Meg and Matt originally planned to have their wedding on July 10, 2020, but when COVID hit they found their lives completely upended. Matt started teaching remotely and Meg was on the front lines of the pandemic. Like everyone, they had to postpone the wedding, but they were determined to not let the pandemic completely put their lives on hold. They decided to get have an intimate ceremony on their original date in Matt’s parents’ backyard.

Fast forward a year later, and Meg and Matt finally had their dream wedding. They knew they wanted a rustic feel to their wedding, but not too over the top. When they visited Dell-Lea they fell in love with the modern barn and beautiful ceremony views overlooking the old farmland.
