Ashley + Jimmy | A Church Wedding Ceremony in Boston

Their Story

Ashley and Jimmy first met at a college party back in 2009. They would run into each other at parties, but he was three years younger than Ashley, so at that time dating did not cross her mind. Fast forward to 2015, the two stayed in touch over the years and Jimmy asked Ashley out on a date. She said yes, but then the morning of the date she canceled. A few months later, they grabbed drinks and the rest is history.

On May 3, 2015, Jimmy told Ashley his mom got a phone call that his grandmother’s bench at Castle Island was fixed. (The plaque was installed upside down.) After Ashley got out of work, they walked around Castle Island, and when they got to the bench, she said “It’s still the same”. Once she turned around he was on one knee.

The Wedding

Ashley & Jimmy got married on October 17, 2020. They were originally supposed to have hundreds of guests, but with COVID changing their plans, they had an intimate 50 guest wedding instead.

Ashley wore a stunning sweetheart neckline wedding dress covered in lace and sequins. During the ceremony, she wore a cathedral veil. Her bouquet was made up of white and purple florals and a variety of greenery. They were stunning!

When Ashley and Jimmy started planning their wedding, there wasn’t even a question about having their ceremony anywhere besides Saint Gregory’s Parish. Ashley’s mom was baptized and married there, so Ashley wanted to do the same. One of our favorite moments was after their kiss, Ashley realized she left a bright pink lipstick mark on Jimmy’s face. She thought it was pretty hilarious!
