Their Story
Kayla and Jeff met when they both swiped right on a dating app in February 2016. They decided to go to dinner for their first date. Kayla is typically someone who is on time, but she had some GPS troubles and was 45 minutes late. Luckily, Jeff didn’t think he was being stood up and patiently waited. Soon after that first date, they knew they had found their forever.
On a rainy spring day in 2018, Jeff planned a date for Kayla and a few friends with their significant others. The date was at Nashoba Winery, where they had one of their first dates as a couple. Since it was raining, Kayla was really against it, but basically couldn’t say no since her friends were also coming. After their wine tasting, Jeff said he wanted a picture. Next thing Kayla remembers is seeing Jeff down on one knee in front of the entire tasting room. She says it was such a surreal moment!
The Venue
Kayla and Jeff knew from the moment they arrived at Birchwood Vineyards that it was everything they wanted in a venue. They loved the rustic design with the vineyard out front for their fall wedding. The reception space had the sweetheart table in front of the grand fireplace, rustic decor, and they had a donut wall for dessert.
The Wedding Day
Kayla and Jeff got married on October 11, 2019, on a cloudy fall day in Derry, NH. All week the weather was threatening thunderstorms on the day of their wedding, but luckily the rain held off. It was chilly, but luckily they were able to have the ceremony and portraits outside as planned.
Kayla chose a long-sleeve, lace gown with an illusion neckline and open back. She added a hip-length veil at the ceremony. Her bouquet was made up of roses, chrysanthemum, and leucadendron all in burgundy with some greenery. Jeff and the groomsmen wore blue suits with burgundy ties, while the ladies wore beautiful matching burgundy dresses.
Kayla and Jeff’s wedding day was very emotional from the first look, their personal vows, and the toasts given by those closest to them. Even their first dance and family dances were so sweet and emotional. You could really feel the love in the room all day and we were so honored to be a part of their special day!
