Their Story
Jennifer and Mike met in 2013 in Boston. Jenn was out with her girlfriends when she noticed a cute guy across the room. She kept making eye contact with him, and according to her Maid of Honor, after Jenn gained some liquid courage, she walked by him and grabbed his toosh! The rest is history.
In September 2017, Jenn threw a surprise 30th birthday party for Mike. She ended up being the surprised one when he got down on one knee and proposed during the party in front of everyone. Of course, she said YES!
The Venue
Jenn and Mike got married on October 12, 2019. They toured 13 venues before finally finding “the one”. Jenn loved how elegant the Lakeview Pavilion was right when they walked in the door. The ballroom is all white with dark wood floors. The guest tables featured stunning floral centerpieces, while the sweetheart table was covered in floating candles and a sequin table linen.
The Wedding Day
Jenn wore a gorgeous Essense of Australia designer gown. It had a glamorous, old-Hollywood feel with its plunging sweetheart neckline, off-the-shoulder sleeves, and bodice that flares into a full skirt below the hips. She added a short veil, sparkling hairpiece, and earrings that made a statement. Her bouquet was made up of a variety of white florals and greenery.
It was such an emotional day filled with so much love and happiness. They were both so emotional while reading their letters to each other that you could feel their nerves and excitement. At the ceremony, Jenn was escorted down the aisle by her two brothers and she later told me she could barely even see because her eyes were filled with tears. Their ceremony was beautiful, and I loved watching back their reactions when the JP pronounced them husband and wife. The emotional rollercoaster continued with lovely toasts made by Jenn’s mother, Mike’s brother, Jenn’s best friend, and Mike’s daughter, Haley. Haley played a big role throughout the day, but there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when the two shared a special dance to “One Call Away” at the reception.
Jenn’s vision was to have an elegant, glamorous, and classic wedding and it certainly was all of those things!
