How They Met

Kelly and Bobby have an amazing love story. Back in 2007, Kelly’s cousin, Amy, befriended Bobby’s sister. Amy recalls showing Kelly a photo and telling stories about her new friends.

Fast forward a year later to the summer of 2008; Kelly is getting ready to head off to Keene, while Bobby is getting ready for his Junior Year of high school. (Kelly jokes about being a “cougar”) Kelly and Bobby had met a few times,  but one day in early August the two of them realize there has always been a spark. Throughout the weekend while hanging with friends & family, they would flirt, laugh, and talk about anything and everything. It was not their intention to begin an exclusive long-distance relationship so young, but when you know, YOU KNOW.

The Engagement

Ten years after dating, Bobby and Kelly planned a trip to Acadia National Park to hike and explore Bar Harbor, Maine. They woke up super early with every intention of hiking to the summit of Cadillac Mountain, but they were so exhausted that the opted to drive. Once at the top, they found a great spot to take photos. Bobby set up his phone on a tripod with a “timer” on. Well, it turned out to actually be a video of Bobby proposing to Kelly. She managed to say YES through the happy tears, and it went down as one of the best weekends ever.

The Venue

Bobby and Kelly looked at multiple venues before falling in love with the Villa. They chose to get married at the pergola just outside The Tent, where their reception would be held. They loved that it felt fun and relaxing, while also having a sense of elegance.

The Wedding Day

It was the perfect fall day for Kelly and Bobby’s wedding on October 5, 2019. The trees were at peak foliage colors, which perfectly complimented the color palette consisting of dusty purple, rich burgundy, and pops of gold.

Kelly’s gown was a trumpet style with a fitted at the waist and sweetheart neckline. It had sparkling beading and a lace overlay accompanied by a long train. She also wore a cathedral veil. Her bouquet had so many textures, it was absolutely stunning. It contained roses,  dahlias, chrysanthemum, and various greenery.

In the ceremony space, the pergola had white drapes strung across with a stunning floral arrangement in the same color scheme as Kelly’s bouquet. At the reception, the colors continued with the centerpieces and burgundy napkins. Ne thing I thought was so creative and unique was Kelly created mini paintings as the wedding favors. People loved picking out one to take home.

The whole day was an emotional rollercoaster between their personal vows, reception toasts, and first dance. One minute you had a tear in your eye and the next you were laughing so hard your belly hurt. It was a wonderful day and we were so honored to be a part of it.
