Their Love Story

Matt and Mackenzie’s love story began back in 2015 while they were both students at Framingham State University. Between mutual friends and constantly crossing paths as members of the baseball and softball teams, it didn’t take long for sparks to fly. During those early years together, they adopted their sweet pup Nikita and later bought their first home—a milestone that set the foundation for everything to come.

When it came time for the proposal, Matt made it unforgettable. While planning a night in Boston with college friends before the holidays, he paused Mackenzie for a quick photo on the streets of the city. That’s when he dropped down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Afterward, the celebration continued with a surprise gathering of their closest friends ready to toast their engagement.

The Wedding Day

For their wedding, they searched a handful of venues but instantly fell in love with The Pinehills in Plymouth, Massachusetts. With its romantic white ceremony tent, rustic beams, and elegant details, it was the perfect mix of modern, rustic, and timeless. Their design included a beautiful farmwood head table overflowing with greenery and candles, paired with wood and black accents for a cozy yet elevated look.

The ceremony was filled with heartfelt moments—Matt was escorted down the aisle by his grandmother, and the couple exchanged personal vows that were both sentimental and funny. They also shared emotional letters with each other during their first look. Guests were moved to tears as Mackenzie walked down the aisle, and the love in the air was undeniable.

The reception kicked off with shots taken by the couple and their bridal party—setting the tone for an unforgettable night. Mackenzie’s stepdad officiated the ceremony, and her sister, unable to travel due to pregnancy, gave a heartfelt virtual toast that added a special touch. The rest of the speeches were the perfect mix of funny and sweet.
