Amanda & Joe’s Coastal Elegance Wedding at Cruiseport Gloucester

Some love stories start with fireworks—Amanda and Joe’s started with Fenway Park, country music, and the Red Sox.

Their Love Story

The two first met at Bentley University. They had plenty of mutual friends, often ending up at the same dorm parties and barbecues, but they didn’t start dating until after graduation. Joe, knowing Amanda was a die-hard Sox fan (with season tickets to prove it!), would often send her funny baseball updates.

Their friendship grew, and in July of 2017, fate stepped in at a Florida Georgia Line and Backstreet Boys concert at Fenway. A rain poncho Snapchat story led to messages back and forth… and eventually, a first date watching the MLB All-Star Game at Tony C’s by Fenway. That night was filled with laughter, memories from college, and even a spontaneous attempt at line dancing at Loretta’s. From there, it was Red Sox games, beach days, and an undeniable spark.

The Proposal on Block Island

Block Island has always been a special place for Amanda and her family, and soon it became a favorite for Joe too. After celebrating the 4th of July in 2021, Joe surprised Amanda with the sweetest proposal at the Southeast Lighthouse. Surrounded by family, champagne, and happy tears, Amanda said yes to the love of her life. The ring was everything she’d imagined—and even more meaningful because it came from the same jeweler who designed rings for many of her closest friends.

The Wedding Day at Cruiseport Gloucester

On September 16, 2023, Amanda and Joe embraced the coastal elegance vibe they had dreamed of and got married at Cruiseport Gloucester. With its beautiful waterfront setting, Cruiseport was the perfect backdrop for their celebration.

Amanda and Joe started the morning exchanging letters that had both of them tearing up. They shared a heartfelt first look before their ceremony and then, surrounded by 170 of their closest family and friends, they were pronounced husband and wife by Amanda’s uncle.

From college acquaintances to Red Sox dates, from Block Island summers to a rainy morning that turned into the best day ever—Amanda and Joe’s love story is one that’s rooted in friendship, family, and a deep love for the places that matter most. Their wedding at Cruiseport Gloucester was filled with laughter, happy tears, and the kind of joy that comes when two families truly come together.
