How It All Began
Their story goes back decades—beginning with a chance meeting on a Disney World spring break when Heidi was in 5th grade and Frank’s mother was her teacher. They dated in high school, went their separate ways in college, and later reconnected in 2014 after the passing of Frank’s father.
A Proposal Against All Odds
Their bond only grew stronger over time, and by Christmas of 2022, Frank was ready to propose. The proposal happened in the most real and heartfelt way—at home, surrounded by the chaos of barking dogs, a meowing cat, and laundry humming in the background. Heidi thought she was unwrapping simple Christmas gifts, until Frank revealed a ring hidden on their Christmas tree all day. In the middle of the cozy, joyful mess of life, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him—“…finally.”
The Wedding Day
When it came time to plan their celebration, Heidi and Frank fell in love with the Newfound Lake Inn, a New Hampshire lakefront wedding venue with a historic barn, beautiful views of the lake, and on-site accommodations. On September 2, 2023, they celebrated with 170 guests in a style that was both classic and relaxed. Their wedding colors—navy, wine red, blush pink, and gold—perfectly captured the transition from late summer into fall. Heidi spent the morning surrounded by her closest friends while Frank and his groomsmen got ready in navy suits he had always loved the look of.
The ceremony was one of the most emotional parts of the day. Officiated by Heidi’s uncle Randall, it included deeply personal vows that brought tears to nearly every guest. Later that evening, during the reception toasts, Heidi’s father gave her the surprise of a lifetime—speaking a heartfelt sentence that meant the world to her and left the room emotional.
Every detail, from the rustic barn to the sweeping lake views, reflected their vision for a celebration that felt warm, intentional, and family-centered. But more than anything, what mattered to Heidi and Frank was being present: soaking in every smile, every tear, and every dance step surrounded by the people who supported and loved them through every season of their journey together.
